Last updated: 11 January 2025
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Kampunity uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and mobile applications. We comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive, the GDPR and other applicable laws. By using our site, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy. You can manage cookie preferences via our cookie banner or browser settings.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help us remember your preferences, authenticate sessions and enhance site performance. Cookies may be first‑party (set by Kampunity) or third‑party (set by our service providers). Some cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the site; others are used for functionality, analytics or marketing.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include:
- Security cookies set by Cloudflare (e.g., _cf_bm and cf_clearance) to distinguish humans from bots, enable load balancing and protect against DDoS attacks.
- Authentication cookies used by Supabase to store access and refresh tokens during server‑side rendering; tokens are stored in secure cookies so they can be passed between client and server. Without these cookies, you cannot log in or use your account.
- Stripe cookies that enable payment processing and fraud detection.
- Functional Cookies. These cookies enhance your experience by remembering choices such as language or theme. Vercel may set cookies to store preferences or session state.
- Performance/Analytics Cookies. We use PostHog Analytics (EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant) for web and product analytics. PostHog collects aggregated data including page views, events, browser and device information to help us understand platform usage. PostHog implements privacy-friendly practices and may use cookies or other tracking technologies in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- Third‑Party Cookies. When you interact with embedded content or third‑party services (e.g., viewing an embedded video, processing a payment), other cookies may be set by those providers (e.g., Stripe). These cookies are governed by the respective provider's policies.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions;
- Protect the platform against malicious activity and fraud;
- Remember user preferences and settings;
- Facilitate payments and secure transactions;
- Provide analytics via PostHog (EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant);
- Provide certain features, such as the ability to stay logged in.
We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertisers.
5. Cookie Consent and Control
- Consent banner. When you first visit Kampunity, we will display a cookie banner explaining the types of cookies we use and ask for your consent where required. Necessary cookies are always active, but you can choose whether to accept functional or performance cookies.
- Browser settings. You can change your cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time, including deleting existing cookies. However, disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from using certain features.
- Do Not Track. We respect browsers' "Do Not Track" signals; we honour DNT and do not plant cookies for advertising when such mechanisms are in place.
- Updating preferences. You can revisit the cookie banner to change preferences by clicking "Cookie Settings" at the bottom of our site.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes via our website or email.
